Celebrities who invested in Bitcoin

When bitcoin was first introduced, the majority of people were unaware of it. Many individuals initially struggled to understand it, let alone invest in it, due to their nature. Cryptocurrencies, on the other hand, began to acquire traction as word spread about them.
Only engineers, developers, and entrepreneurs have previously invested in it. When Bitcoin was first released, nobody expected it to become what it is now. It was particularly popular among programmers, who became billionaires when it surpassed the $60,000 level. Nonetheless, other celebrities believed it was worthwhile and invested in it, which proved to be a great decision.

Jack Dorsey

Jack Dorsey, the CEO of Twitter and Square, is a big advocate of Bitcoin. His interest in BTC began in 2017 when he began pushing for the royal coin. Despite the fact that the crypto market fell in 2018, Dorsey is undeterred, describing Bitcoin as the “next global currency”, despite the digital currency’s lowest point in many years. Dorsey said in March 2019 that he invests several thousand dollars a week in Bitcoin.

Mike Tyson

One of the first celebrities to see Bitcoin’s potential was Mike Tyson, a well-known professional boxer and social media celebrity. He was excited to be a part of the digital revolution, working with Bitcoin ATM manufacturers and having his face tattooed on the machines. Not to mention “Iron Mike’s” relationship with Bitcoin Direct to provide a BTC mobile wallet.

Maisie Williams

Maisie Williams, who plays Daenerys Targaryen on Game of Thrones, entered the bitcoin race in November 2020 after soliciting suggestions from her Twitter followers on how to get bitcoin. Despite the majority of the responses urging her against it, she went ahead and did it.

Elon Musk

Tesla’s tech king is undoubtedly the most prominent figure in the Bitcoin community, despite his frequent mockery of Bitcoin on Twitter. At the same time, he is the Bitcoin industry’s most dominant figure. When he added “#Bitcoin” to his Twitter account in January 2021, all hell broke loose, forcing the price of BTC to spike by 25%. He also stated that his business purchased $1.5 billion in Bitcoin, which equals to 7.7% of Tesla’s total cash position and around 15% of its net cash position.
And of course, we all know how big of a Dodgecoin he is.

Marc Cuban

Mark Cuban, the Dallas Mavericks’ owner and billionaire shark, appears to have a tumultuous connection with Bitcoin. He recommended that people invest at least 10% of their wallet in bitcoin at some point, but then added that he would rather have bananas than bitcoin. However, he went on to say that he had held a variety of coins since Coinbase’s inception.

Snoop Dogg

Snoop started using bitcoin in 2012, while it was still in its infancy. He made his tracks available for purchase through BTC. At today’s bitcoin value, each poster album costs 0.3 bitcoin, or nearly $14,000. He did not specify how many CDs he has sold, nor how much Bitcoin he has.

The actor and aikido martial arts instructor has become a well-known figure in the cryptocurrency world, although his exact Bitcoin holdings are unclear. In 2020, he was charged with “unlawfully promoting” a BTC rival by the United States Securities and Exchange Commission, and he promised to pay a $314,000 fine.

Lionel Messi is widely recognized as one of, if not the best, football players of all time. Messi has constantly created magic on the pitch with goals, dribbling, and technique since joining Barcelona in 2003. Messi is also knowledgeable with blockchain technology. The Argentinian Superstar has been designated a global brand ambassador by Sirin Labs, a secure blockchain-based mobile PC and all-in-one. Messi is one of the world’s most well-known figures. He has a sizable fan base. He is a hero to many people throughout the world, which is why he posted on Instagram about his love for blockchain. Many people had a different perspective on blockchain technology after that.

Ashton Kutcher

Ashton Kutcher, a well-known Hollywood actor, is a prominent technology investor and supporter of blockchain technology. Many people look up to Kutcher as a role model and his involvement with Bitcoin is good for the business. “I think bitcoins are definitely becoming more and more relevant,” he said in a 2013 CNBC interview.

With all of these well-known personalities, as well as major companies and organizations, betting on Bitcoin, it looks like the revolution is well underway. While it is unknown if the digital currency will be widely accepted or if and how long it will be able to retain its current value, we do realize that Bitcoin is valuable in the eyes of the most powerful individuals in the world.
