[SurferInvestor] Could you please summarise briefly what Doge Labs is about?
[Doginal Woof] Doge Labs is providing all infrastructure to pave the way for a thriving web3 ecosystem of Doginals on the Dogecoin network. We’re here to make launching and trading crypto assets on Dogecoin as fun as a game of fetch and as secure as a well-trained guard dog. With drc-20, we’re establishing Dogecoin’s first-ever Doginal standard, inspired by brc-20. We’re fully equipped and ready to guide the community through the rising Dogecoin ecosystem. All aboard the Doge Labs rocket!
[SurferInvestor] Could you please introduce the founding team? What is their background and what makes them the right team to run Doge Labs?
[Doginal Woof] We are a global collective of web3 experts with a broad experience building the future of web3. Our 7 team members specialize in everything from development to community management and marketing, making us equipped for high pressure, fast-paced environments.
[SurferInvestor] How did the idea of Doge Labs came to life?
[Doginal Woof] As true fans of liberal, decentralized (web3) markets we realized drc-20 was heading toward centralization and off-chain operations. Seeing the drc-20 market stagnant for a while due to the “random reward size challenge”, we knew we had to act. We decided to solve the indexing issue that Dogecoin had due to its unique block reward design, and here we are!
[SurferInvestor] What was your first contact with Doge?
[Doginal Woof] Our team has been part of the Doge community for a while. We have been silently observing and learning from the developments.
[SurferInvestor] What makes you the most bullish about drc20?
[Doginal Woof] Doginals and drc-20 are unlocking web 3 culture on top of something what started as a memecoin and is a lot bigger by now (Dogecoin), that should say it all!?
[SurferInvestor] What item in the roadmap gets you the most excited?
[Doginal Woof] We’re thrilled about open sourcing the entire drc-20 indexing solution, which we believe will empower more builders. And yes, having a marketplace will indeed be a bonus!
[SurferInvestor] In an ideal world, how would Doge Labs look in 5 years?
[Doginal Woof] It’s hard to forecast 5 years ahead in web3, but looking at the next 12 months, we foresee drc-20 booming just like brc-20 did, with more people and builders joining in and the whole infrastructure getting better every day. We’re banking on the already established, fun-loving Doge community and cheaper gas fees to speed up this adoption.
