Customer review of Jumia Nigeria

Jumia, self awarded Nigeria’s number one retailer was created in May 2012. Their aim is to become the national reference when Nigerian think about online shopping. They do not sell only fashion article. But also, among others, electronics, toys, cell phones, tablets, sports articles etc…). Just in the fashion department, I estimated approximately 300+ brands for Kids / Men / Women. Unfortunately, no luxury brands, but still some accessories, such as watches and sunglasses. Jumia Nigeria has more than 1illion followers on Facebook and 35k followers on Twitter.

Because of their increasing success, Jumia had to relocate to a bigger warehouse. Making it the biggest online shopping warehouse of West Africa.

Delivery & Returns:

Because wants its customer to feel safe, Jumia saw no problem in implementing a Pay on Delivery model. Meaning that you only have to pay for what you want to keep. And you do not have to prepay the order. Which generally scare Nigeria internet users. How crazy is that, You order something on the internet, and you pay only if the product is delivered. You can also choose to prepay the parcel if you want to be more relaxed when trying on the items. In both cases, delivery will take betwenn 1 to 6 days depending where you live in Nigeria.

If the fit is not good, you can return the parcel for free within 14 days after the delivery date.

Within Lagos, each delivery is free if the order is higher than 10.000₦. For anything else, you will be charged.
